Serving as a Chief Press Officer and Spokesperson in the Swedish peace-keeping forces in Kosovo 2000-2001 gave a new dimension to work abroad. Another mission in Kosovo followed in 2001, this time as a Swedish liaison officer with responsibilities for minority media at the Information and Media department of the British-led KFOR Multinational Brigade headquarters.
Next international mission was as an Election Observer for the Council of Europe in Kosovo in 2004. The Christmas of 2004 he spent in Dnjepropetrovsk in Ukraine as an Election Observer for OSCE/ODHIR.
In 2005 Marko attended a Core Course in Civilian Peace-building and Peace-keeping at the Austrian Study Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution with the outspoken goal to participate in more international missions.
Another step in this direction was spending the summer of 2006 in East Jerusalem, studying the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the Israeli-Lebanese war.
This led to me moving to Jerusalem in the end of November 2006.
From March 2007, I am working as a Public Relations Officer for the American Aid Organization ANERA.
