I really like the Middle East, and so does my girlfriend. But none of us had visited Syria before. So, in October and November 2005 we went there to learn more about this fascinating country. We chose the route Damascus-Bosra-Hama-Aleppo-Damascus-Palmyra. It was a very rewarding trip. And I produced an article for a Swedish historical magazine about Palmyra.
