The summer heat is really here, at least temporary. It has been well over 30 degrees in the shade in Jerusalem.
Today, I drove down to Jericho in the Jordan valley to take photo’s of a water project ANERA has implemented together with IFAD, the International Fund for Agricultural Development. Here, it was around 40°C. In the shade!
Through the project, clean water is consistently delivered to farmers in Jericho to underground pipes. The man of the photo is one of the farmers, benefitting from the project.
In the afternoon, I drove to Arsuf, between Herzeliya and Netanya, to go paragliding. Unfortunately, the wind was a bit too weak when I arrived, but I at least I did some practising on the ground. And it is always nice to see the sea :-)
On the way back, I picked up Sara and her mother Gisela at the airport. Sara is a Swedish friend from Brussels, where she works as a freelance journalists.
They are going to stay for a week.
