Before coming here, I heard that the old city of Antalya is supposed to be nice. One Swedish journalist went so far as to say that this is probably the most cosy and beautiful old city anywhere in the world. That woman probably never left Södermalm in Stockholm once before going here. It is an ok place, but turned into a tourist ghetto with souvenir shops everywhere. The real asset of Antalya is the long sea promenade with it’s many nice cafés and restaurants. This one is overlooking the old harbour (crammed with tourist boats and there crews trying to convince tourists to join them).
In the evening, I was happy to fly to Istanbul to meet my dear Femke for a long weekend of relaxing.
