Sunset over the Sea of Galilee

More than 50 persons showed up t the paragliding meeting at Mevo Hama, and although I was probably the only one not speaking Hebrew, I still had a nice time, talking with friends like Yotev and Amit and getting to know some familiar faces a bit better.
Unfortunately, the wind was too strong for me to fly in the evening, but others did manage to take off. Once in the air, the flying looked great. APCO’s (an Israeli manufacturer of paragliding equipment) test pilot Adam was first up with a tiny acro wing, showing off in the setting sun.

Then we had a delicious Arabic-style dinner, cooked by a Palestinian family and served under the stars, on huge trays.

The day after, I did get airborne, but only after waiting almost six hours for the conditions to become strong enough for me to be able to topland again.
I had a long drive back to Jerusalem, and dearly needed a shower after sleeping in the car the night before. We finished the evening with a nice seafood dinner at the Japanese restaurant Sakura.
