I seem to be struck by bad luck when it comes to the flying weather on this trip. The day started cloudy but gradually cleared up. Forecasts were talking about southwesterly winds so we headed for Morro de Toix at the coast, close to Calpe. But the wind was more westerly, and changing both direction and speed all the time. So, no flying .

In the evening I went to the village and had a few glasses of wine, hoping that toasting for good weather would bring us better luck. The Montserrat bar was full of locals talking about the event of the day – the pigeon race. The wall was covered with result notices, and outside, proud owners were holding their multicolored (for recognition) birds. At least they could fly.
