Sadly, this was the last day of our holiday. Together with Femke’s parents, we went to Bergen am Zee at the coast and strolled in the beautiful sand dunes there. The Dutch make it comfortable for themselves – this nature experience is available through a paved path in between dunes, where you can both walk and ride a bike (of course, after all, this is the Netherlands).

 

It was nice to walk here, enjoy the views and the sea, and talk about this and that. We also had a fika (apple cake with ice cream) and later on lunch (pancake with cheese and ham). On the way back, we met several highland cattle, also enjoying the walk. When I walked close to take some photos, it turned out that they were all bulls. Luckily, they where as a friendly as most Dutch people :-)
