Afterwards, I continued north to the Golan Heights. The Israeli paragliding association arranged a meeting at Mevo Hama for some flying (hopefully), socializing and nice food.

 

I arrived an hour early, so did some sightseeing close to the Jordanian and Syrian border. The contrast to the arid desert area I just came from was stark. Here, the farmers pump up huge amounts of water that is spread via enormous, computer controlled watering machines. If only the Palestinian’s were allowed access to the same amounts of life-giving water…
