Slowly, our trip to South Africa in October is taking shape. Most of our hotel bookings are now confirmed, as is the rental car. We are going to have a great time, or so we hope .
Yesterday evening, we had a marvelous night out with our friends. First, Anna invited us all to her cosy roof terrace in the middle of the Old City. Here, we were chatting away under the stars while sipping wine.
Next stop was Askediniya, a restaurant in eastern Jerusalem, where there was a party. It turned out that we were the only foreigners, save for a one or two others, which of course did not matter. The dance floor was hot and we did our best with the mostly Arabic music, mixed up with a few western tunes.
When it was starting to grow empty sometime after two, José the Spaniard convinced us to go Downtown in western Jerusalem for more drinks and a very nice pizza slice.
It was after four before Femke and me went to bed, and then José, Lotta and Ruby was still out there.
