When we have guests, we try to take them to interesting places that we ourselves have not yet visited. So today, we drove all the way up to Caesarea, north of Netanya. EU-Lotta and Magda from the Swedish Consulate joined us (and Eddy of course) so the car was full.
Caesarea is famous for its numerous Roman ruins, including aqueducts, palaces, a hippodrome and the worlds first bigger man-made harbor. We also saw a dead sea-turtle, flushed up on the little beach opposite the hippodrome.
Unfortunately it was scolding hot, but it is still interesting to see.
But we couldn’t wait to go to the beach to cool off, so drove to Ga’ash for swimming, relaxing and beach walking. Very relaxing.
Back in Jerusalem, we had a glass of wine on our terrace, then tried out a little Italian restaurant not far from where we live. They turned out to serve delicious homemade pasta!
