We had the full weekend up in the north, but the heat was suffocating. Somebody came up with the clever idea to go up on Mount Hermon , Israel’s (well, sort of) highest mountain. Excellent!
We drove to the very north of the country, over the Golan heights (where we saw a giant wild boar laying dead next to the road), through Druze villages and up to the mountain. Here we could take a ski lift up to the very top, where we had a relaxing walk between the many Israeli military installations that clutter the mountain top.
The photo is from the top, and the magnificent view is over Syria.
