Cisterns in Aqraba

Field trips are always fun. Today, we drove north to Aqraba, east of Nablus, where ANERA is building rain-water cisterns through the EWAS Program. Sara and Gisela joined us. We visitied several cisterns in different stages of construction, and talked with the poor families that are benefitting from the project.
Water is a very valuable resource, but in this region it is scarce. With the help of these cisterns, families can store big amounts of rain-water, giving them ample supply of water during the dry season.
